Do you know an inspiring Victorian female mid-career stem cell researcher?

by Niall Byrne | Jul 01, 2015

Wouldn't you love to see a stem cell researcher win one of veski's inaugural inspiring women fellowships? We would. And, given Melbourne's impressive history in the global development of stem cell science, we're confident our sector has strong candidates.

During 2015/16, three fellowships will be made available and successful individuals may receive up to AUD$150,000 distributed over a period of three years.

If any of your colleagues fit the bill, please encourage them to apply. In our experience with the Metcalf Prizes for Stem Cell Research, strong candidates are more likely to apply when they’ve had the encouragement of their peers.

For more information, visit the veski website at, and keep in mind their other science and innovation fellowship categories for future reference.

Applications for the inspiring women fellowships close on Thursday 6 August.

We aim to:

  • Promote the study and use of stem cells

  • Prevent or control diseases or illness

  • Enhance public education about stem cells
