The National Stem Cell Foundation of Australia was formed by the Australian Stem Cell Centre and was gifted its residual funds. However, these funds are not sufficient to continue to support stem cell research and public engagement to the extent we need. This exciting branch of science needs to be driven towards clinical treatments that can relieve pain and suffering.
The Foundation needs additional support. The Board and many of the Foundation’s advisors are providing their services free of charge which helps us ensure that all donations received are channelled into stem cell science and related activities.
